A personalized ceremony and vows is one of the keys to a memorable wedding. To that end, I focus my pricing and attention on the writing itself.
The process begins with a questionnaire that gives me a basic understanding of what you are looking for in a ceremony.
A follow up Zoom/Facetime/Phone call will help me prepare a rough draft.
Once the rough draft is complete, I will work with you through as many edits and revisions as you need, up to the day of the wedding, until we get a draft you are happy with. Some couples ask if their ceremony can remain a surprise, and the answer is yes!
During the writing of the ceremony, I can also help with individual vows
Once the final draft is approved and ready for rehearsal, you will receive a breakdown of time spent writing and revising. I use a combination of Revision History, Draftback, and Docuviz to provide an accurate assessment of time spent on your ceremony.
$350 Initial Deposit
This reserves your wedding date and includes the filing of your Marriage Certificate. If you already have a script or service that you just want read, this will be your only charge.
Depending on location, a $50 dollar additional charge may be required for any rehearsal date - Generally speaking, you will not need me at a rehearsal.
$150/hour
Based on writing time, rounded up to the nearest half hour
Extensive “Day Of” edits will be billed at 175/hour.
